Q: How much does Treecleat weigh?
A: A little less than 2.75 pounds. There’s a photo on the Gallery page displaying 2.64 pounds
Q: The Treecleat standing surface looks kind of small. Is there enough room for my feet?
A: Absolutely. Whether your put your knees into the tree or on the sides of the tree (or both), your heels and your mid-foot both peel up and away from a traditional platform naturally. The Treecleat standing surface gives plenty of space for the front of the foot to easily support a treesaddle hunter while on the tree while offering plenty of space to maneuver the feet to cover any shooting field 360 degrees around most any tree.
Q: Is Treecleat comfortable to stand on for long periods?
A: You bet! Depending on how you position your tether, much of if not most of your body weight goes into the tree from your knees, making Treecleat very easy on your feet. With good knee pads, or a good tree pad, Treecleat is a very forgiving perch for treesaddle hunters of all different preferences. And, if the balls of your feet do begin to fatigue, there is space enough on the standing surface to adjust your foot position to your heels for a time. (See photo in the Gallery)
Q: Is Treecleat difficult to hang on a tree?
A: Not at all. Hanging Treecleat is a simple three step process, that, with a little practice, can be completed in about two minutes.
Q: Is Treecleat noisy?
A: Not in the least. If you follow the hanging procedure as presented in the Hang Treecleat video, Treecleat will make virtually no noise during the hanging process or while maneuvering for a shot.
Q: Will I be able to do the Achilles moves?
A: Most likely you will.. If you have the ability to stand with your shoulders parallel to your computer screen and then turn 90 degrees to the left (if you’re a righty shooter) or the right (if you’re a lefty shooter), you will have no trouble with the Achilles moves.
